This year the Clinton/Highland Chapter of Pheasants Forever donated to two local high school trap shooting teams. The money donated through the chapter helped greatly, reducing the costs associated with targets, shot shells, shooting wear and entry fees. Approximately 28 boys and girls benefited from the chapters donation.
The Adena Warriors and Huntington high school teams, traveled to the state tournament last weekend and posted very respectable showings.
Huntington results :
Zane Parker finish second in average in the state Jonathan Kindle finished first in average in the state and Huntington won their division and the league. They also finished 6 at the state shoot.
Adena results:
They finished fifth out of thirteen teams with a score of 436 points in the state tournament.
Individually, Trey Timmons had an overall score of 93 to place third in the varsity boys’ division.
Reece Kerns placed third in the conference in the girls’ JV division.
As a team, they also finished third in the conference this season.
I hope the Clinton/Highland Chapter of Pheasants Forever will make this a yearly goal to support this growing high school sport and inspire other chapters to also donate .
